Art Competition Guidelines

 

The Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Committee of Pinal County invites all High School students in Pinal County to showcase their artistic talent and commitment to the public understanding of the life of Cesar E. Chavez, Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta and Larry Itliong by participating in the annual Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Art Competition. Students can elect to submit a painting for one of the three categories:

  • Cesar E. Chavez
  • Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta
  • Larry Itliong

WHO MAY ENTER?

All High School students in public and private schools in Pinal County are eligible.

DESIGN THEME

Art should express the concept of the lifework of Cesar E. Chavez, Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta or Larry Itliong and their impact on the community, and/or in the world, thereby increasing student awareness of their importance

ENTRY CRITERIA

  1. Art should be submitted on paper not larger than 11” X 14”.
  2. No computer generated art will be accepted.
  3. Complete Application Form and attach to the art piece.
  4. Submit completed entry by March 20, 2026, at 5 pm to:

AWARDS

  • 1st place: $300.00
  • 2nd Place: $200.00
  • 3rd Place: $100.00

SELECTION

Winners will be selected and notified by March 26, 2026 and will be recognized at the Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Committee of Pinal County’s Awards Ceremony, scheduled on April 10, 2026, The Property at 1251 W Gila Bend Hwy, Casa Grande, AZ 85193 at 6:00 p.m.

Deadline is March 20, 2026, at 5 PM.
