Scholarships
Scholarships will be awarded to Pinal County students. The Cesar Chavez Memorial Committee of Pinal County anticipates awarding over $40,000 in scholarships this coming year.
Art
We will be seeking art that captures Cesar E. Chavez’s passion and commitment to his culture, which will be displayed at the Casa Grande Library in the month of March 2024. Art contest now underway details here.
Selection
Winners will be selected and notified. Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the annual Cesar E. Chavez Celebration at the Neon Sign Park in Casa Grande in April 2024

Art Competition Guidelines
The Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Committee of Pinal County invites all High School students in Pinal County to showcase their artistic talent and commitment to the public understanding of the life of Cesar E. Chavez and Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta by participating in the annual Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Art Competition.
Students can elect to submit two separate paintings – one for Cesar E. Chavez and one Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta; or
Students can elect to submit one painting for either Cesar E. Chavez or Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta.
WHO MAY ENTER?
All High School students in public and private schools in Pinal County are eligible.
DESIGN THEME
Art should express the concept of the lifework of Cesar E. Chavez and/or Dolores Clara Fernández Huerta and their impact on the community, and/or in the world, thereby increasing student awareness of their importance.

Winners will be selected and notified by March 29, 2024, and will be recognized at the Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Committee of Pinal County’s Awards Ceremony, scheduled on April 12, 2024.
Deadline March 15, 2024, at 5 PM.
